Victims – Killer Review

This Record does not let up. Period. Reminiscent of Sick Of It All, Victims plays a good mix of dbeat and NYC hardcore. But for some reason I just can’t seem to put in my permanent catalog and I haven’t brought myself to deliver it from limbo yet.

This records feels very old school and very punk rock. It seems like it could have been made 10-20 years ago easily. Not an updated version, not a fake rehash like the band Fucked Up, more like lost tapes of a supergroup.

This stuff is not anything that’s breaking new ground, taking anything to new levels or kicking anything up a notch, but at the same it never feels derivative. Somehow, for once, I’m ok with that.
