The Unlikely Words blog has posted a link to a few different songs from Thorns of Life recorded during their set at 924 Gilman St. The band is features the influential Jawbreaker and Jets To Brazil frontman on Blake Schwarzenbach on guitar, Aaron Elliott of the Cometbus zine, Crimpshrine and Pinhead Gunpowder on drums and actress / musician Daniela Sea on bass. Sea performed in Berkeley punk rock acts the Gr’ups and Cypher In The Snow and most recently appeared on Showtime series The L Word.

Do you know what this is? This is a bootleg of a band that has one of the most influential living musicians. “So what?” you may say, well I’ll tell you what! There isn’t a single recording out there of these guys that is worth it’s salt anywhere, except for this. Anywhere! This isn’t quite new news, but it is good news.
Thorns of Life are self-releasing without a label, so when the time comes, support.
No statement on the approval of the band on this recording but it’s out there. It’s not soundboard, but it’s damn good for crowd. I have to share a couple tracks.
