Hello ladies and germs, lovely day out here in the Mid Willamette Valley. I trust you’ve been well. I tell you what, The Hope Conspiracy has been doing quite well for themselves and hardcore has taken them to London and it’s been caught on tape for your listening pleasures. The best part of all is not even that it’s free, but that one of the songs is a Fugazi cover.
The recording quality is top notch and the other songs are from “Death Knows Your Name”. I was really hoping for something from the new 7inch but no dice. It’s all good because the 7inch coming out soon and pre-orders are already up. BUT WAIT!!! THERE’S MORE!!!!!111!!!one!!!!!!ELEVEN!!11!!!! You can actually listen to it on the Deathwish site in it’s entirety.
This new 7 inch is really good. If you were already a Hope Con fan, you will definitely feel this piece of wax. Imagine the dark broodiness of “Death Knows Your Name” with the speed and tenacity of Endnote and Cold Blue and you have the new 7 inch True Nihilist in a nutshell. It’s got it share of buildups but you barely notice them as they barely deviate from the previous onslaught of brutality.
Recorded by engineer by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios, this is the best use of 5 dollars I can think of presently. Colored vinyl options are available.
