Did Steven Spielberg Kill Ali G?

Print magazine Radar is reporting that Director Steven Speilberg made Sacha Baron Cohen retire the character Borat as part of the 6 million dollar deal for him to play Abbie Hoffman in the upcoming film The Trial of Chicago Seven.

The article doesn’t say who gave them this information as noone is quoted and frankly, it sounds like speculation to me althought part of it sounds plausible. Spielberg did make a movie about the holocaust and Borat does hate the jews. But I think even Spielberg can take a joke.
