Baroness – A Horse Named Golgotha Video

Very high concept video that reminds me of a cross of Natural Born Killers, the Video for “Heart Shaped Box” by Nirvana and the Dark Crystal, that Jim Henson creature feature from the early 80’s.

The song feature’s a fuzz solo that seems strait from the 1990’s that fits the cinematography to a t. I really wish they would have made a video for a few different songs on the new record as I really think there is some potential crossover that could be taking place with this band. These guys could easily get tons of fans from the Tool/Muse crowd as well as anyone who is into classic rock casually.

I’m really hoping Baroness’ new record takes off this winter and I can 99% guarantee they will be in my best of the year list.
